Eventually, long after the old flour mill had closed down, it was decided to turn it into an emblematic building in the city, and give it a new use for the public. Work was carried out on the old structure, especially on the arches and the tower building, and different areas created for their new uses. The painted plaster finish was restored in such a way that the image of the façades of the old flour mill remains.
