The aim of this project is to relate the three main features of the location. The first is the landscape, which is a sacred, mystical, peaceful place; the second is the cemetery, where the living can remember their loved ones; and third, the funeral home, a place for gathering and mourning. Here, emptiness has its own value, open areas without construction, to honour life and act as a meeting point with those departed; where the cemetery and funeral home act as two different programmes, yet linked with the same purpose. This connection of all three facets is an attempt to be kinder in the harsh farewell of a loved one, and act as a passage between life and death.
